Happy New Year!
Lot’s of things happening. Lots of New classes, New teachers, new times. We have a lot of new classes. A beginning Ballroom class that I hope will continue into a fast track into learning the continuity styling in order to have people join our advanced class. I will let the students and teacher decide on that pace. SO if you’ve wanted Fox trot or Waltz but don’t know the triple twinkle then come join Teana. Yes that’s a new name but Teana is not new to teaching. She was one of the first dance teachers I met when I got here in SLO. She has worked in the real world along with teaching so you might not have seen her but I’m so happy that our paths have crossed again and you get to experience her detailed teaching. Then to continue the 6:30pm class has a new American Tango class. I’ve had a couple people ask for it in the past. I hope we have enough people to hold the class. Please let me know your interest especially if you can’t make the first week. Then we have West Coast Swing in full swing. The Beginning is at 7:30 with level 2 and 3 and a transitions routine. I’m also hoping that if you’re not in Kara’s routine class you stick around and practice for awhile.
That’s just Wednesday…Thursday has a Beginner’s Social dance mix, beginning East Coast and Beginning Cha Cha. Along with intermediate classes including a new intermediate Chacha which I have had the most requests for. Look closely at the times. Many people mentioned that 8pm was too late for a class and suggested changing the schedule on the half hour to make things earlier. I realize that it might just switch so that 530 will be too early for some. I put the East Coast Swing at the 6:30 time knowing several of you had difficulty getting there at 6pm. Please, please let me know how it works for you I want to make it the best it can possibly be, knowing I can’t make it perfect for everyone. But I want to try!
Check out the New Years special for a series:
New Year’s Special
We’d love to spread the joy of dancing. We have more beginning classes than we have ever offered before. So help spread the word and tell your friends, share this email etc..
To encourage Beginning dancers to start dancing and to commit to a 6-week series…
we are making it really hard to pass up! For the New Year’s special a 6-week series class will be only $40.
And Intermediate dancers, I decided to make it for all classes except Argentine. SO you can use your punch card or prepay for the series.
Tell your friends, maybe try two or three classes! I love to offer more classes but need to fill them so I really appreciate you spreading the word!
See you on the dance floor
